The Pat
The fashion choices over here in Korea are quite amusing at times. This is the first in a series of entries about Korean fashions. Anything designer has a rip-off. We haven't really gotten into buying or comparing the originals to the fakes yet, but Jenn will be diving into that project very soon and she will have much more to say about fasion later on. We have seen some of the real things in one of the big department stores in Seoul - Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Burberry, what have you. But mostly we've seen rip-offs that may resemble the originals, but are obviously fake. The best (not the best as in authentic, but the best in terms of entertainment value) is a store called The Pat which models itself after The Gap. It has the same lettering, the same typ of window displays, and sells the same kind of clothes as The Gap. So this one goes out to The Patrick back in Windsor - it's good to see that your line of clothing has hit it big in Korea.
And to help Megan out with her fashion dilemma on whether to wear or not to wear cowboy boots. She might want to take some advice from the Korean women who are quite taken with cowboy boots. They are worn with either mini-skirts or jeans rolled up to your knees. Hope this helps.

Too funny. Does "The Pat Store" carry plaid shirts?
The Pat has a fine selection of plaid shirts and head warmers. I've also noticed that all the mannequins have shaved heads and little goatees.
any shabby-looking straw cowboy hats? Glad to hear The Koreans are "Mad about Plaid"
More importantly where's "The Andy Store"? Would it perhaps carry "Andy Girls (or grrlz)"?
