Scenes from Starbucks

There are apparently 75 Starbucks in Seoul. We are slowly making our way to as many as possible. Is it that we love the drinks, is it that we are addicted to the stuff, is it that we like the North American feel of the place?? We don't know, but we'll keep on indulging in our favourite drinks whenever we come across that green sign with the mermaid. Green tea frappuccinos are popular over here, but we find it odd that we have not been able to locate China Green Tips or Zen tea (Jenn's favourite). This is a land of green teas, but the Starbucks brands seem to be absent. Most of the green tea Jenn has found here has brown rice in it, which gives it a taste unlike green teas she is used to.
We have even gone to the world's largest Starbucks (that's what we hear anyway). It is 3 levels high with lots of room for sitting down, but as to be expected in this over-populated country, always busy. And, do we even have to say, not nearly as nice as Starbucks Univeristy and Ouellette in downtown Windsor.
Little known Starbucks facts: In Seoul, when you bring your to-go cup back to the counter after using it, you are given a refund of 10 won?? That's about a penny.
As two previous employees who have gone through the caffienation education, we knew we were breaking some Starbucks laws by taking pictures. But we are just foreigners in a foreign land. We didn't know any better. As with most Westernized establishments in Korea, the prices are similar to what we would see in Canada. For instance, a $5.00 grande white mocha is 5,000 won.

Are you really not allowed to take pictures in a Starbucks?

If I remember correctly, the actual rule is that you can take picture just the employees, the counter/menu board, the merchandise, and the logo cannot be seen in the picture (so basically no, you can't) I think they are afraid that someone is going to copy them or steal their ideas (like that hasn't happened before!)
